Dr. Andrea Oko, DDS, MSc
I am originally from the Westlock, Alberta area, having grown up on an acreage 20 minutes outside of town. Throughout my childhood I spent many hours playing sports, being most active in figure skating and volleyball. Following graduation from R. F. Staples Secondary School, I moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. In 2001 I started my Bachelor of Science Degree, receiving my BSc in Immunology and Infection in 2005. Later that year I started a Masters in Cell Biology at the University of Alberta, studying the immune systems of catfish. In 2009, during my first year of study in dentistry at the University of Alberta, I completed my Master of Science degree.
I am very excited to practice at the Westmount Dental Centre. I pride myself on making patients comfortable and as relaxed as possible in the dental chair. I look forward to continuing my informal education throughout my career, allowing me to introduce new and advanced techniques for my patients.
I currently live in St. Albert. You may see me at the grocery store in my sweatpants! My interests include ice hockey and ball hockey, reading, watching action movies, laughing at myself, and long walks with my husband, Pete, and our Labrador Retrievers, Coal and Fergus.

Dr. Maryla Mollania
I was born and raised in a beautiful coastal city of northern Iran. My interest in dentistry was motivated by my desire to help relieve dental pain and to ensure people have beautiful smiles. It was a great honour to be admitted to the most competitive dental school of Teheran, where after 6 years of full-time studies I was awarded a doctorate degree in the field of Dentistry (DDS).
After graduation, I worked as a general and family dentist in a government-run multidisciplinary clinic in northern Iran. That experience allowed me to pursue my particular interest in helping children. Soon after I met and married an engineer, who was offered a scholarship in France to support his PhD. The time we spent in France (3 years) was a beginning of our assimilation into a multicultural society.
Canada was a very natural choice with its open door policy to accept and support professionals from around the world. The only aspect of Canadian life that made us nervous was the cold winters.
It’s been my dream and a passion to work as a dentist, and upon coming to Canada, I went back to dental school for the second time. We lived in Vancouver while I attended University of British Columbia. It was a great DMD program that allowed me to update my current knowledge and learn about new advancements in dentistry. I received a DMD degree in 2015.
I am very glad to work at Westmount Dental Centre as I have found a very supportive and strong team who work well together for the betterment of our patients.
I speak four languages: English, French, Farsi, and rudimentary Arabic. I love swimming, jogging, camping, and playing sports with my son, husband, and friends. I am also a big fan of dancing, especially Zumba.

Working at Westmount Dental Centre offers me a great diversity of patients and their different dental needs. I aim to provide high quality dental care; patient comfort and satisfaction are always my number one priority. In order to lessen dental phobia, I provide oral and nitrous sedation when requested.
I am a member in good standing of Alberta Dental Association and College. I lead a busy and active life with my work, husband, and children. I love taking my children swimming, skating, and skiing. Also, visiting the mountains, that I love, is my very favourite holiday destination.
